Alhamdulillah, Allah has given us opportunity to gather in this room today. Of course, salawat and salam for our beloved prophet Muhammad,SAW who has lead us from the darkness to the brightness. Ladies and gentlemen, The honorable, my teacher who allows me to present my seminar today, and Id like to thank to my friends that come to this room. Now, my seminars title is ascariasis
Ladies and gentlemen, Ascariasis is a worm that live in the small intestine. Infection with ascaris is called ascariasis which is the most common human worm infection. Infection occurs worldwide And is found in tropical and sub tropical areas where sanitation and hygiene are poor. Children are more prone to this infection.
Transmission Ladies and gentlemen, The adult female worm lays thousands of eggs in the intestine which pass in the feaces. Eggs become infective after two weeks of incubation in damp soil. Once in the small intestine, immature worm hatch from the eggs. The larvae are carried swallowed. Onced , they reach the intestine and develop into adult worms. Adult female worm lay eggs that are then passed in feaces. This cycle can take between 2-3 months.transmission happens when an infecitive eggs is swallowed from dirt, water or food . many children playing in contaminated soil or water are infected this way. Signs and symptoms Ladies and gentlemen, Children are infected more often and more severely than adults. There are no obvious signs and symptoms but if there are many worm, mild diarrhea, abdominal discomfort and distension may appear In few cases, it can cause intestinal obstruction or pneumonia and asthma if larvae to the long
Basic prevention measures Ladies and gentlemen, y y y Avoid contacting soil that may be contaminated with human feases. Do not defecate outdoors. Wash your hand with soap and water before handling food.
