KINGS SPEECH

Andreea Totir

Movies like this give the impression that they only appear to wash the screens of all malls that Hollywood throws at us, telling that they are "cinema". I got to enjoy a movie well done and well played. The kings speech is a very good movie, kept an impeccable Artistic, a movie full of merit, of which the greatest merit is that he can elevate his audience, the emotionally and intellectually at his level. Of course, the steake of the movie is not to correct a speech impediment that a future king has. The film raises and educates its audience because it sits in a place of civilization where words cant fly easily. Kings do not speak to hear themselves talk. They do not say anything, anytime. Here, the word has value and weight. What makes The King's speech beyond the movie with good actors is so the story - the script belongs to David Seidler, himself stutter and thus able to understand the drama of a speech impediment, directed by Tom Hooper. Scenario affords numerous deviations from reality, desire a substantially dramatic effect, An example is disregarding the fact that in reality the king's speech was not live, but recorded on discs and so edited and "airy" the breaks and incurable stuttering. Clearly, at the scribt level, conflict and drama have gained a lot through these exaggerations.

However, who will walk away from this movie with a lesson learned, will leave richer. Who will see a comedy with a king who would do anything to not make a fool of himself will leave just amused. Its good so too.
