The Hexagon Symbol was developed from the banks house flag, a white rectangle divided diagonally to produce a red hourglass shape.
The three keys are taken from the Swiss Bank Corporation logo, symbolizing: confidence, security and discretion
The blue and gold in Visa's logo were originally chosen to represent the blue sky and golden-colored hills of California, where the legacy Bank of America was founded.
The company received unwanted media publicity in the 1980s when rumors spread that the moon-and-stars logo was a satanic symbol.
