DRUM CORPS EXECUTIVE MEETING FEB 7TH 2011

MINUTES FROM PREVIOUS MINUTES Bill moved to accept the minutes as read and Dick seconded it. PRESIDENTS REPORT: Thank you to Dale for looking after bar and cooking night. Correction to the lists of addresses in the roster need to be made. Redistribute address list (Bori) . VICE PRESIDENT REPORT: no report LIEUTENANT: no report SECRETARY: no report TREASURER: Financial statements have been emailed. Nothing remarkable to point out. Bill: The form for uniforms will be submitted to RSC with unit budget, copy of bills, what we are asking for. Marching Director: We are short of spaces in snares line and may be down to 2 symbols. We are going to start performing the new show in June 2011. Street music will continue as in the past. We will have the help for instruction from Chris Rossell, Sean McDougal, etc. Music Director: The music for the new show is from Jersey Boys featuring Frankie Valli and the For Seasons. They are: Walk Like a Man, Working My Way Back to You, Fallen Angel, Sherry Concert Piece, Let s Hang On, Don t you Worry Bout Me (Opus 17), Oh, What a Night. Bye Bye Baby Departure song. Music for the bells have been written and distributed to the players. Safari Committee: Will contact comfort inn to have a block on 15 rooms. An email will be send to members so that each member will book his own room. No bar will be taken. Quartermaster: No uniforms will be given to members until April. Sargent: The following nobles have qualified for their Medallion: Noble Dale Buchko, Noble Brandon Mertz, Noble Bori Arrobo. Aso welcome Geroge Henderson and Dean Rathwell into the fold. Bar/Onions: Bar is unchanged from last year. Divan: Curling team from Drum Corp to go to Moose Jaw. Prospect sheet should be available at every meeting. Last year 23 new members in Regina, 43 new in the Province.

NEW BUSINESS: Parade schedule 2011: Distributed by Don McDougal. Mid West Winnipeg: August 4th to 6th . Dick moves we go to MW as a unit. Brad seconded it. Calgary parade: July 8th. They provide Moved by Brian to be moved to next year, Don seconded that. Fill out the application to go to next year. Brad seconded it. Pasta night, March 25th. Tickets price = $15, 120 tickets to be printed. Lobster Nite: $50 tickets price. Marlow will be chairman. Berry Marchane will be co-chair. Dean will be approached to be co-chair. Allotment for tickets. 280 guests. Branches: Tom: Will start Fall 2011. Brand seconded that. Tom will contact Branches to see if they are interested in doing onion sales. Drum Corps will share a handling fee of $1 per bag. Next meeting: April 25th at 7:00pm and possible practice afterwards. Meeting was closed.
