    Statement of the Facts: On 12, April 2011 I was stuck with a class 3 for leaving the two hour lab period early. Extenuating Circumstances: I was present for the first hour of the lab period. My lab group finished our lab early, and we had Dr. Shinn review our data. In each previous experience, once he has done this, he allows us to leave, so I immediately left to make a phone call to my dad who had surgery earlier that day. When the other members of my lab group attempted to leave, Dr. Shinn explained to them that they could not leave until the other groups were finished. I did not believe I had reason to return to the lab and was thus unaware of this condition.

    3. Recommendations/Corrective Action: Sir, I understand that ignorance is not an excuse, and I accept any punishment bestowed upon me, though I respectfully request the circumstances be taken into consideration. Very Respectfully Submitted,
