We are spending our first weeks of school meeting and making new friends and building a classroom community.

In an effort to get to know each other better, I am asking students to create a Me Museum. This simply means students will need to bring in 3 items or pictures that represent them, their families, hobbies or interests. Students must also prepare an explanation card for each item they bring. I am supplying index cards for this. The explanation should identify the item and why it was placed in the museum. There should be at least three sentences about each item. Remember to use complete sentences and neat handwriting so others can read it. Finally, you will need to create a sign for your museum on the paper provided. Make this neat and colorful to catch peoples attention. Students will use their desktops as museum displays so you will need to pick items that will fit on this space. I have displayed my Me Museum for students so they should have an idea of how to create theirs. We will tour each others museums next week. Have fun and do your best work!
