Entrepreneurship Development Cell

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) of Guru Nanak Dev Engg. College is funded and sponsored by AICTE.

Vision:
In order to make optimal use of facilities, expertise and know-how available in technical institutions for the benefit of the society, it is necessary that appropriate links are established between them and the industry, and society.

Activities of the Cell:

The Centre promotes Entrepreneurship related activities such as: Entrepreneurship Awareness/ Development Programmes on full time/part-time basis for final year students, alumni, educated unemployed and working professionals. Conducts special courses for fresh diploma and degree studies from various disciplines for establishing an enterprise & its management. Supports skill development activities particularly catering to specific areas of requirement in region. Provides a platform to take-up 'Entrepreneurship' as an alternative career. Identifies and provides solution for the problems of small business management & entrepreneurs. Provides training & retraining of entrepreneurs through variety of programmes.

Supports continuing education needs of personnel in areas of technology and management.

Since its formation, the Cell has conducted numerous Entrepreneurship Awareness Programmes (EAP), Expert Talks (ETs) from (Bankers, Successful Entrepreneurs, etc.), Skill Development Programmes (SDP).

Forthcoming Programs:
A 3 week Domain Training and Entrepreneurship progammme for ITI students of Bidar district, starting from 07-02-2011.
