Our Educare Project is on full swing. Thanks to the visiting and regular teachers

Durga Puja is the biggest festival for the Bengalis. As the autumn sites turn bright blue with soft white clouds , the golden sun peeping from behind them, the cool refreshing breeze with fragrance of flower Shiuli gently swaying the trees - one can FEEL that Durga Puja is in t h e A ir . Durga Puja was held for the first time in Calcutta in 1915, in Bhawanipore, on the banks of river Ganges. In the past it was mostly celebrated by only religious followers, later on, however, it crossed all boundaries of both geographical and religious sentiments. It became an event where everyone, irrespective of their backgrounds, could just enjoy being together. In this biggest festival, we thought of bringing some smile to the faces of those poor students of our Edu Care Project. On 18th September 2011, we are going to gift them some new dresses to celebrate the Durga Puja. For this, our members and well wishers have contributed with their warm hearts and we are thankful to each of them. Wish you all a Happy Durga Puja Secretary

From the very early days, we have been extremely fortunate to have had people from all walks of life who have identified with our cause and come forward to volunteer their time and their expertise.

Our sincere thanks to the Baghbazar Traders Association for various gifts like School Bags, Water Bottles, Pencil Boxes etc. to our Edu Care Students on the eve of Ganesh Chaturthi.

The Teaching Approach Edu Care

We recognized the need to adopt a teaching approach, which would foster a love for learning and would make the child feel confident, secure and valued. At the heart of our teaching approach is the relationship between the child and the teacher. The teacher is committed first of all to establishing and nurturing a bond with the child - a bond based on mutual respect, trust and love. Once this bond is formed, the child opens himself/herself to learning and learns at a very rapid pace. And, whatever the child learns, he/she retains because the learning is self-motivated; it is based on her own needs and interests.
