Completing a WebQuest

What is a WebQuest?

A WebQuest is an inquiry-oriented lesson format in which most or all the information that learners work with comes from the web.

Who created the concept?


The

model was developed by Bernie Dodge at San Diego State University in February, 1995 with early input from SDSU/Pacific Bell Fellow Tom March, the Educational Technology staff at San Diego Unified School District, and waves of participants each summer at the Teach the Teachers Consortium.

What do they look like?

You

will be taking the role of the STUDENT to complete a WebQuest of your choosing. You may use Zunal.com or eMINTS WebQuests. (See next slide.) If there are any worksheets to fill out, you will print them and complete them. You will also complete whatever project is assigned. Bring the worksheets and completed project to class on Tuesday, May 10.
