the school year usually from July to June. In India, on the other hand, primary and secondary schools, the school year is usually from June to March. At the University in Indonesia the school year from September to July whereas at the University in India it is from August to April. There is a mid-year break during the summer in India. In contrast ther are no mid-year break during the summer in Indonesia. Elementary school in Indonesia including children aged six to eleven, organized into classes one through six, whereas elementary school in India organized into classes one through five. In Indonesia secondary school pupils aged eleven through fourteen are organized into classes seven to nine, and high school students ages fourteen through seventeen are enrolled in grade ten through twelve. In India, on the othe hand, secondary school pupils aged eleven to fourteen are organized into classes six to eight, and high school students ages fourteen through seventeen are enrolled in grade nine through twelve.

Both Indonesia and India have education system which is divided into preprimary, primary (elementary school), secondary, upper secondary (high school) and higher. All children in Indonesia are obliged to follow compulsory education for nine years, In the same way, all children in India are obliged to follow compulsory education for nine years. And the last, Indonesia and India schools are similar in that all their student take school- leaving exams.
