Indian Festivals portray the rich cultural heritage and significance of our country. They define the cultural and traditional background of India. Enthusiasm, rituals, prayers, colours and fun characterizes the entire celebration and the most attractive factor to all especially for kids. It's only in India; we celebrate the maximum numbers of festival than anywhere else in the world. Food is an integral part of Indian festivals and the recipes prepared are authentic and delicious. Maharashtrian cuisine is cuisine of the Marathi people. Maharashtrian cuisine covers a range from being mild to very spicy dishes. Wheat, rice, jowar, bajri, vegetables, lentils and fruit form important components of Maharashtrian diet. Popular dishes include puran poli, ukdiche Modak,Batata wada and "Kande-pohe". Shri Surya Groups Vadali Lawns Amravati has organised a food festival for the ethnic taste of Marathi food from 9th to 21st November, where one can taste the actual varhadi food at a very nominal cost. Manager of the lawn, Nandan Khande said by organizing this food festival we are performing our duty of preserving the Marathi cuisines, where the matter of varhadi cuisine is concern, one can have a taste of the same by paying nominal charges. The Menu at the festival includes mild to spicy dishes such as, Varhadi Thali, Aamras,Kolhapuri Pakoda, kandra Bhajji, Kurudi, paneer vanhadi, Baigan Masala, Aloo gobhi Varhadi, Lehsun Methi, dal varhadi, Dal Tadka Varhadi, Batata Bhaat, Matka roti, Jowari Roti, Thalipeeth, basundi and Shrikhand. By this type of festival even the tourists can have the taste of the dishes which one would have dreamt of having, but due to some reasons cant eat. This food festival helps to create taste and aroma of the Marathi dishes which are available all under one roof.
