Abstract

Globalization in a different counties and among individuals promotes English language as the
most important and widely used language in the world. Cultural knowledge can be gauned
through careful study of function patterns within the cultural system of the language. In cross
cultural, we can share our views with people of other culture. In this paper, to research about
culture in india’s culture. As I got from foreign language learning in india’s, expecially north
Indian, includes the provinces of Punjab and Sindh, is not only about grammar or vocabulary
but also life skill to be able communicate. India’s natural wealth, Food, arts, religion, events,
dance and languages that I had from him have attracted foreigners throughout its long history.
It has had continuous cultural contact and trade with other countries and in all this, india has
been exposed to many foreign languages such as Arabic, Bactrian, Chinese, Dutch, English,
French, Greek, Hebrew, Latin, Persian Portuguese, Turkish and in a certain sense.

INTRODUCTION

English language as a medium of international communication now is mediang to benefit all


from the cultural and cross culturalaspects. We need to communicate with people of other
cultural need to focus the behavioral culture influence as well as their own culture’s, (their
thoughts, forms of expressions etc). On the other culture which they have to maintain to
achive the standardized effective target language teaching and learning.
LITERATURE REVIEW

Natural wealth as he told to me is, in indian population, is a second most populated country in
the world after China. India will overtake china to become number one in the future, because
every year, have a high birth rate.

Food

In North Indian cooking, recipies, and techniques can very widely. Here are some of the most
traditional food in there, in home, is

1. Indian Butter Chicken (Murg Makhani) recipe


This dish is among the best known indian foods all over the world even though it is
relatively new to the causine. And it always created at the Moti Mahal in Delhi. Its
creamy gravy can be made as hot or as mild as we they like.
2. Indian Red Kidney Bean Curry (Rajma Dal) Recipe
Rajma dal is a red kidney bean curry that is a popular dish in northern India, though
its enjoyed throughout the country. It is a tasty vegetarian recipe that cooks the beans
in a spicy masala paste featuring ginger, garlic, chilies, and tomatos according to him.
3. Lachcha Paratha (Layered Indian Bread).
This food, has several layers and turns out delightfully crispy. Parantha takes only a
few ingredients to make flour, salt, water, and ghee is an unleavened flatbread.

North india is a land of festivities. It is a region that is extremely rich in heritage and culture.
Is known for having a different set of traditions and customs for every occasion. A culture to
cherish, this region is the epicentre for na set of joyous, customary festivals. He said, in there
are some festivals are widespread over the region, like Diwali, Holi, Teej, Dussehra, etc.,
while some that are specific to a city or area.

1. Kumbh Mela
Kumbh mela is the biggest fair in there. The kumbh mela in prayang being the major
one is celebrated on a vast scale. Pilgrims from all over the country gather and pay
homage to river Ganga. Since this festivals is celebrated only in 12 years, the
goverment spends genereously on the stalls, poojas, kirtans, and pilgrimage facilities.
2. Pushkar Mela
This is one of the most vibrant festivals in north india. It is celebrated extravagantly at
the end of october or beginning of november, in pushkar, Rajasthan.
3. Rann Ustav
This festivals takes place in the white sand of the Rann of Kutch in Gujarat every year
from november to february. Rann Ustav is one of the most vibrant festivals in there.
Which attracts numerous visitors from across the globe and displays the finest
traditions of the state.
4. Magh Mela
This is celebrated during Makar Sanktanti 14th january at the Triveni Sangam in
prayang, near Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh. This festivals in north india is celebrated to
honour the origin of the world, which is said to have taken place around this time.

Traditionals Dance

Dance is ancient and celebrated cultural traditions of India. Dance and song features
heavily in Indian cinema (so-called “Bollywood” films), too. So many traditionals
dance in there but he just told more or less from the famous dance, them is

1. Kathak
A dance Kathalak is often a dance of love. It is performd by both men and women.
It was originated by kathakas, proffesionals storytellers who used a mixture of
dance, song, nand drama.
2. Punjab Bhangra
One of the most popular dances of north India, performed during the festival of
Baisakhi, is the Bhangra. Among the most virile and captivating dances of India.
It is undertaken by men and includes centre of the circle, it is surrounded by men
and includes tricks and arobatic feats. Dressed in lungis and turbans.

They can also arrange language classes for some other Indian languages including, Assamese,
Kannada, Marathi, Oriya, Sindi, and Urdu. But he said the most of them is usually using in

Hindi

Hindi is the national languages of India and is spoken by almost half a billion people in India
and rest of the world. Hindi is the second most spoken language in the world after Chinese.
Gujarati

Gujarati is the native language of the Indian state of Gujarat is also called Gujerati. Gujarathi
and Guujaratee. It is state language of Gujarat and widelly spoken in the neighboring states,
too.

Punjabi

Punjabi also known as Punjabi or Gurumukhi is the mother tongue of the Punjabi people and
the Punjab regions of India and Pakistan. Punjabi is the official Language of the Indian state
of Punjab and Chandigarh and second official languages of Delhi and Haryana. This is Indo-
European language is quite popular in foreign countries. Punjabi language course privides
information about Punjabi long with writting and speaking practice of the language.

Sanskrit

Sanskrit popularly called Dev Bhasha or Devavani, the language of the Gods is a classicial
Indian language still widely used in religious ceremonies by Indians. This classicial
languages of Hindus is the oldest and the most systematic language in the world and enjoys
same status in India for literary and religious purposes as latin in Europe and elsewhere.

English is a National Foreign Language

He said, India has two national languages for central purposes, Hindi and English. Hindi is a
national, official, and main link language of India, English is an associate official language.
In India, English serves two purposes, first it provides a linguistic tool for the administrative
cohesivensess of the country. The positive attitude to English as a national language is
essential to the integration of people into Indian society.
Conclusion

We may be temted to think of intercultural communication as the interaction between two


people from different definountries. Cultures is the part of the very fabric of our thought, and
we cannot sepparate ourselves from it, even as we leave home and begin to define ourselves
in new ways throuh work and achievements. Cultural dimmension in language studies is
considered as a significant mark poin in languages. Therefore when learner learn a language,
at the same time they should learn the culture of the country where the languageis form, in
order to avoid miscommunnication and missunderstanding.

Besides that, acquiring a foreign language not an easy thing. We need to learn some aspects
of the language. This paper aims to describe the importance of cross cultural to recognise the
culture in North India. in India,expecially North India, have many culture in there. I got from
my friend that I talk with him and share a augality information from there, it just describe a
little bit from their culture in there.

COCLUSION

Culture being an important and integral part of human society deals with the communiction
of languages by the individual in a variety of situations and circumtances.
