15 A RESOLUTION IMPLEMENTING THE RULES FOR THE AMENDMENT OF THE USLS SO CONSTITUTION OF 2003

WHEREAS, the USLS SO Constitution of 2003, Article VIII, Section 1 states that, The Legislative Power shall be vested in the Student Senate of the University of St. La Salle; WHEREAS, the USLS SO Constitution of 2003, Article XVI, Section 1a states that, Any amendment to, or revision of this Constitution shall be proposed by Student Senate upon 60% vote of all its members; WHEREAS, the Student Senate shall make an amendment using a standard format of a resolution (e.g. An Amendment revising the USLS SO of 2003) as its title; WHEREAS, amendments should be passed during regular and special sessions voted by the 60% of the Student Senates total population; WHEREAS, further internal processes shall be posted and implemented upon passing this resolution attached herewith; NOW IN VIEW OF THE FOREGOING; BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Student Senate of the University of St. La Salle to inform the student body this modified process of amending the USLS SO Constitution of 2003 as charted by the said law; RESOLVED FURTHER, that the Committee on Rules and Procedures shall be tasked to make the Implementing Rules of this modified amendment process as attached herewith; RESOLVED FURTHER, that the Committee on Issues and Advocacies shall be tasked to lead the dissemination of this information to the student body about this modification over the whole Student Senate; RESOLVED FINALLY, that the Senate Secretary will be responsible to distribute copies of this resolution to the following offices: Office of the Brother President, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Vice President for Administration, Dean of Student Affairs, College Deans, Student Activities Coordinator, Executive Department, Judiciary Department, University Student Government Constitutional Commissions, The Spectrum, and College Councils. This Resolution shall take effect immediately after its approval.

UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED and PROMULGATED on this 28th day of July, 2011 by the Student Senate of the University of Saint La Salle.
