16 A RESOLUTION REMINDING THE STUDENTS THAT THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED TO STANDBY OR PICNIC IN THE FOOD COURT

WHEREAS, the USLS SO Constitution of 2003, Article III, Section 10 states that, Every student shall have the right to use available campus facilities as it does not run contrary to school policies WHEREAS, the USLS SO Constitution of 2003, Article IV, Section 1.c states that, The student shall have the responsibility to abide the schools rules and regulations; WHEREAS, the sign Standby or picnic is not allowed was posted in the walls of food court. WHEREAS, foodcourt is a place for eating and not for studying or doing academic requirements. WHEREAS, most of the students who uses the foodcourt during lunch break do not have vacant space due to the students who frequently standby. WHEREAS, students are not allowed to stay long after eating. WHEREAS, standby means pertaining to a waiting period
NOW IN VIEW OF THE FOREGOING; BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the USLS SG Student Senate, to remind the students that they are not allowed to standby or picnic in the foodcourt; RESOLVED FURTHER, adding more Standby or picnics is not allowed signs in some walls of the foodcourt. RESOLVED FURTHER, asking for the help of the Discipline Officers to check the food court time to time. RESOLVED FURTHER, that the Committee on Issues and Advocacy shall be tasked to post a copy of this resolution on the official bulletin board of the Legislative Department for the students to be informed;
RESOLVED FINALLY, that the Senate Secretary will be responsible to distribute copies of this resolution to the following offices: Office of the Brother President, Vice-President for Academic Affairs, Vice-President for Administration, Dean of Student Affairs, College Deans, Student Activities Coordinator, Executive Department, Judiciary Department, University Student Government Constitutional Commissions, The Spectrum, and College Councils.
