Abstract Paguia, Kristine Ann, Jusayan, Genalyn, Rivas, Michelle and Pascual, Precious, IV-A students of Coron School of Fisheries, aim to present, perform and evaluate the significance of the current detector made by simply using a musical card. A. Purpose To be able to construct a low- cost current detector out of musical card, film case, and copper wire. B. Procedure Unfold the musical card and carefully detach the IC (integrated circuit), dry cell and the insulation of the copper wire of the musical card and put the wires of the detector through the cut made in the film case. C. Result One of the great advantages of this current detector is that it can detect a very small amount of electricity generated by chemical cells. It has a very low power requirement. When testing the current detector, you should never connect it to a 9 V or even a 1.5 V dry cell. This will damage the cell. D. Conclusion We therefore conclude that this improvised current detector can be a substitute for a commercial or over-the-counter one. It is a low-cost and very affordable current detector made out of recycle materials. It only proved that some materials seem useless can be developed to be great health and useful to us.
