Inability to provide a home free of common cold virus Inadequate knowledge about ways on how the virus are transmitted Insufficient knowledge on the right treatment of common cold To provide the family knowledge so that they will be able to manage an individual infected with common colds and to prevent further spread of it to other family members after a week of nursing intervention. After a week of nursing intervention, the family will be able to : Identify what is a common cold Verbalize the symptoms of a common cold and how it is transmitted Promoting health by discussing with the family the causes of common cold, its symptoms and how it is transmitted. Lecturing different treatment to common cold and its rationale. Encouraging the family to practice proper hygiene as a part of preventive measures in the spread of the common cold virus.
