Weekly Outline:
Activity session subject : Plants and their growth cycle. Vocabulary: Parts of a plant stem, roots, leaves, flowers, fruits, seeds, trunk etc Different types of plants trees, bushes, shrubs, flowers, grasses How a plant grows sprout, germinate, grow What a plant needs to grow water, sunlight, minerals in the soil. Activities / songs / games: Plants booklet identifying the different parts of a plant and what they do; identifying different types of plant and how they differ. Maintaining the mung bean plants. Plant Life song (based on Parklife by Blur). Making plant displays and exploring the interactive plant board.

Prathom 1 Prep Plurals is and are, these and those, a and and some etc. Addition and subtraction with 1 and 2 digit numbers, ordering with ascending and descending numbers.

Review Review of weather conditions and how they effect plants. Different types of fruit and what kinds of plants they come from.

Notes / parent follow up: Encourage students to interact with plants in their environment and to ask questions about them.
