Developing Data Stage jobs to implement ETL Process. Used various stages for designing the jobs in the Data Stage Designer. Involved in performance tuning to improve the performance of the data stage jobs. Used Data Stage Director for running and monitoring the jobs. Description: Abbey National Bank is a leading bank UK. They have number of customers operating in various parts of the world. Like every (international) fast growing bank, this bank is searching for new business avenues, wants to increase the customer base and attract more investments. So far the bank is using traditional banking practices for functioning and using the various media for promoting the various schemes. By using the information technology for making better business strategies and decisions this bank wants to have an edge over its competitors. The aim of project is to maintain a centralized database of all the departments like finance, mutual funds, loans, customer etc... In which bank provides services. The main work scope involves in extraction data from different data sources systems and applies some business rules and loading into the centralized warehouse. Roles & Responsibilities: The data is extracted from Flat files and loaded in to Teradata database. Understand the business function by reading the existing documents available for project. Defined the Source databases and Target databases in Data stage. Created the Jobs using data stage designer.
