Discontinuation of the XC2000 Product Families

Subject: Discontinuation of the XC2000 Product Families (all speed grades and package options including B-Grade and SMD [Standard Military Drawing] Devices) Products Affected: All XC2018 and XC2064 Products Change Description: The above XC2000 family is being discontinued. Reason For Change: The XC2000 product line has been in continuous production at Xilinx since 1986. Its architecture today is outdated and the XC2000 family is no longer the lowest cost logic solution available from Xilinx. It has been surpassed in this capacity by the XC5200 and XC9500 product lines. The XC2000 family has been actively discouraged for new designs for over one year, and now accounts for less than 2% of Xilinx revenue. Key Dates: Last date to order any of the above products is 1 January 1999 with final delivery on or before 30 June 1999. This allows more than two years to plan for this product obsolescence.
