High Five

April 2, 2012
My children, we should love people, not only with words and talk but by our actions and true caring. 1 John 3.18
Didnt the elementary students do a great job in their spring program? Everyone worked hard and I was very proud to see what they were able to do. I hope everyone had a good spring break -- we have about 10 weeks of school left and Im sure you are wondering where the time has gone. We are definitely on the homestretch to the end of the year. Because of ISP presentations, our schedule is going to be a bit different for the next few weeks but the 5th grade has proved to be quite flexible and we will get through all we need to do before the end of the year. April April April April Notes 4: We begin ISP presentations 6: Noon dismissal for Good Friday 9: Easter holiday -- no school 10-13: Iowa Basic Skills Tests this week

Bible Memory Verse Matthew 5:1-5 If possible, would you prepare an egg shell for a science project? I have shown the students what I mean -- break an egg as close to half as you can. Eat the egg but clean out the two shell halves. Make sure you remove the very thin membrane inside and dry it. Have your child bring it to school. Thank you for your help. If you cannot do this, I have some extra shells.

Camp After discussing dates with Mrs. Willson, I think we will go with the later date of May 24-25. I am sorry to lose Mr. Wong and Mr. Sou but I hope the later the date is a better chance at warm weather. I will send information as the date draws near. The students are excited and Im sure everyone will have an enjoyable and memorable time. For chaperones I have: Mrs. Pao, Mrs. Ingulsrud, Ms Lewis, Mr. Corbett, Mr. Underland, Mr. Ekstrand. If I have left anyone out, or if you would like to join us, please let me know.
