Inference : The velocity of water wave influenced by the depth of water. Hypothesis : When the depth of water increase, the velocity of water wave also increase. Aim : To study the relationship between depth of water and velocity of water wave. Variables: Manipulated : Depth of water in ripple tank. Responding : velocity of water wave. Constant : frequency of water wave. Apparatus and materials:

Ripple tank, vibrator motor, white screen, stroboscope, water, power supply, wire, meter rule.
Diagrams:

Procedure Procedure to controlling manipulated variable. Procedure to measuring responding variable. Apparatus setup as the diagram, Depth of water is set to 2.5cm

Wave length measure at the screen and velocity calculated. Repeat the experiment with different depth of water,2.5cm, 2.0cm 1.5cm, 1.0cm and 0.5cm.

Repeat experiments.
