Hensley: I have experience in and out of the classroom

I have gained extensive experience learning from my amazing professors, bosses, and co-workers. Creating opportunities for yourself is one of the most paramount ways to learn and I believe I have gained insurmountable knowledge from past and current jobs. I am a former features intern at Seventeen magazine working with the News department, reporting intern at WBOY-TV in Clarksburg, West Virginia. In the Fall of 2011 I began blogging for Campus Trendsetters, a branch of HerCampus.com. Since 2010 I have been polishing my reporting skills as a writer for The Columns newspaper covering lifestyle and campus events and as a staff member of The Mound Yearbook.

Excelling on Campus: One Students Road to Success

Academically, I study Political Science and Journalism at Fairmont State University, achieving a 3.4 GPA. I am a member of the Political Science national honor society, Pi Sigma Alpha. I strive to take what I learn at school and apply it to potential jobs and internships. Aside from the classroom, I am a loyal member of Delta Zeta National Sorority where I have held many leadership positions such as fundraising chair and President of the Panhellenic Council presiding over all greek life on campus. I have been featured on the front page of FairmontState.edu as a Be First student.
