Customer service Activities

These activities can be done by students. Teachers may adopt them as needed. 1. Reproduce a video that shows bad customer care; that shows good customer care either one.. Explain what happened in the video and why you consider it to be illustrating bad customer care/ good customer care. Mention the points that you observe in the videos that suggests bad/ good customer care. 2. Make a list of five common problems that customers may face. How can customer service workers deal with these problems? Suggestions are welcome. 3. Role play: Theres a problem. A customer complains. Deal with the customer. Choose from these situations: a) Customer has a problem with a product he/ she bought, returns it, and is told to sit and wait. Hes been waiting for hours. b) An angry customer complains about the answering machine service. He could never get to talk to a real person. c) A customer bought the wrong size of shirt. Wants you to change it, but he misplaced the receipt. d) A customer complains of a hair in his food at a restaurant. Hes threatening to sue your company. e) A customer bought some books over the internet, but never received them. f) A customer complains of a broken lap top. Its a new lap top with guarantee. (The customer apparently didnt follow the installation instructions in the manual, so you think that thats why he has the problem.) g) Customer bought a facial product that turned out to be bad. Didnt do what it was supposed to do. Complain about it. Tell others about the problem.
