1 Configuring Microsoft Internet Explorer

Operation Procedure
Step 1 Turn off the pop-up blocker. From the menu bar of Microsoft Internet Explorer, choose Tools > Pop-up Blocker > Turn off Pop-up Blocker. Step 2 Enable the automatic prompting for ActiveX controls and automatic prompting for file downloads. From the menu bar of Microsoft Internet Explorer, choose Tools > Internet Options. On the page that appears, click the Security tab, select Internet, and then click Custom Level. Set Automatic prompting for ActiveX controls and Automatic prompting for file downloads to Enable. Step 3 Set automatic encoding selection. Right-click on the blank space of Microsoft Internet Explorer, and then choose Encoding > Auto-Select from the shortcut menu that appears. See Figure 1-1.
