    Article Organization Outline 2-3 pages Due: Nov.

    14 Review an article using a method you believe you will use for your research proposal. Please address the following by outlining each section. For your outline, do not focus on content but on including what the author is doing (i.e. including, accomplishing) in each section. For qualitative analysis, outline the following sections (see Ch. 18 for more information). I. II. Rationale a. Why is this study important? b. What will the study add/reveal? Literature Review and Research Question(s) a. What argument(s) is being made? b. How specifically are they weaving outside sources into a coherent argument? c. What theory/theories ground their approach? d. After you finish the literature review, do you understand why they are proposing their particular research project/angle? Does the research question(s) make sense given the studys purpose? Method Section a. How do they set up their method? b. What information do they provide the reader about their method? c. Do you feel you know how they gathered their data?
