Lets talk about pets

Lets practise modal verbs 1. What are these animals called in English?

2. Can you think of any other animals that are kept as pets? 3. How many words can you think of for talking about animals? (Are the words you thought of verbs, adjectives, nouns or adverbs?) 4. Choose one of the animals above. Describe the pet to your partner. Can he/she guess which animal you are describing? 5. Talk to your partner. Have you got a pet? Tell your partner about it. If you havent got a pet, tell your partner what kind of pet you would like to have and why. Speak for as long as you can. 6. Looking after your pet Choose a type of pet. Explain how to look after the pet by using as many modal verbs and verbs for giving advice as you can. Use: must, should, shall, can, could, may, might, ought (to), had better, need (to)
