In order to give young competitors a worthwhile experience towards the KOI World Cup they may in the kata events only (not kumite) in addition to entering in their own age groups; compete in the next age group upwards. Therefore 6/10 years old can also compete in 11/13 years old. 11/13 years old can also compete in Cadets 14/15 years old. Cadets 14/15 years old can also compete in the senior categories (but not in Veterans). We reserve the right to merge categories if necessary.
