Formula for Circumference There are several figures in the geometry one of them is circle that has a combination of arch that makes the circle. A circle is a figure that has the radius that is equal for whole figure of circle. If we define the Formula for Circumference of a Circle it will be described as the pie () times of its diameter that is denoted as the circumference * diameter, that is also defined as * (2 r) where r is the radius of the circle that is the length of the central of the circle to the any point on the circumference of circle .Where the value of the = 22 / 7. Circumference bounds the area that is denoted as the r2. If there is some definition of the circumference of the circle then it will be stated as points that have the same distance from the circle. Center is a point from which all the points on the circumference of the circle are on same distance or it is the point through which the circle can be divided in the equal parts. It will also be stated as the distance around the circle that has the equal length and it is named as circumference and that length is known as the radius of the circle.

There are several examples for calculating the circumferences of the circle with some predefined values are given: Example no (1) If the value of the radius r = 21 cm and the = 22 / 7 then find the value of the circumference of the circle? Solution: Given r = 21 inch and = 22 / 7 then according to the formula of circumference = 2 r, Circumference = 2 * 22 / 7 * 21 cm = 132 inch. Example no (2) If the values for diameter of the circle d = 7 inch and = 22 / 7 then find the circumference of the circle? Solution: As according to the circumference formula c = d * where d = diameter = 2 * r then c = 22 / 7 * 7 = 22 inch. Example no (3) If the value of the circumference c = 44 inch then find the value of the radius of the circle and also calculate the diameter of the circle? Solution: As given c = 44 inch and it will be denoted as the c = 2 r, where r denotes the radius of the circle then r = c / 2 = 44 / 2 (22 / 7) = 44 * 7 / 2 * 22. Radius r = 7 inch and the diameter of the circle d = 2 * r = 2 * 7 = 14 inch. So the diameter = 14 inch and radius = 7 inch for the circle.

Example 1: Calculate circles circumference, where diameter is 3cm: Solution : From the diagram, the diameter of the circle is 3 cm. Formula to calculate the circumference c = d. = 3.14 * 3. = 9.42 cm. This is the circumference for the given circle. Example 2: Calculate circles circumference, where radius is 2 inches: Solution : From the given diagram the radius of the circle is 2inch. Diameter = 2 * r. = 2 * 2. = 4cm. Formula to calculate the circumference c = d. = 3.14 * 4. = 12.56 in . This is the circumference of the given circle.
