CELEBRATE LITERACY AWARD

Young Authors Conference

This years Young Authors Conference for K 6 will be held on Saturday, May 19th from 1 4 p.m. at Washington Elementary School. Our keynote speaker will be local author Precious McKenzie, author of nonfiction texts. Students will participate in three sessions; a teaching session, a session sharing their own piece, and the keynote session. Students need to complete and return the registration form by May 7th, 2012. There is a limit of 50 students for the conference, so students should submit entries as soon as possible. Please recommend the Conference to any and all your aspiring authors. We are also holding a work session to help organize and prepare materials for the conference on Wednesday, May 9th at 4pm. Please come help us make this conference a success.
