Transaction KSU1 is used to create a new Assessment Cycle. You should receive the following popup screen.

Enter the appropriate Controlling Area (CA01) in the popup screen:

In the following screen, you specify the name of the Cycle you will create. You can create this from scratch or copy an existing cycle in the Reference field to use as a template:

Hit Enter to bring you to the next screen. You need to give your cycle an appropriate name. You also need to make the relevant settings for the various segments attached to the cycle (not shown):

To ensure that this Assessment Cycle can run together with other JP50 Cycles (in parallel to other company code assessment cycles) you need to assign it to the JP50 Run Group. You do this under menu option GOTO -> CYCLE RUN GROUP. You should receive the following popup screen:

The default system Run Group is 0000. You can either assign your cycle to an existing Run Group (by doing a dropdown in the Cycle Run Group field and choosing the relevant Run Group) or by creating a new run group using the CREATE button: Clicking the CREATE button should show the following popup screen:

Enter a new Cycle Run Group Name and Description. Normally the name should mirror the Company Code the Cycle is running for:

Click the Continue button. You should see the following popup screen:

Click the Continue (Green Arrow) twice. The New Assessment Cycle is now assigned to the JP50 Run Group.

You will see that the Cycle now has the Status New (if creating the Assessment Cycle for the first time) or Revised (if allocating an existing Assessment Cycle to a new/different Cycle Run Group). Click SAVE to activate the Assessment Cycle.

Additional Note: To see all currently available Cycle Run Groups and the Cycles assigned to them do the following:

Run transaction KSU3 and select any Cycle by doing a dropdown and select from the Cycle field:

Hit Enter. The go to the menu option GOTO -> CYCLE RUN GROUP:

Click the Overview button (Sun Over Mountain icon):

Expand the Tree under each Cycle Run Group to see the assigned Cycles:
