    What happens at Orientation?


    Orientation is a 3 hour session to introduce you to John Abbott and prepare you to be a successful student at the College. You will be able to correct registration errors, if necessary. You will have your John Abbott ID Card picture taken. You will pick up your free John Abbott Agenda Book. You will find out more about the campus facilities, services, activities and resources available. You will be able to buy your books (cash, Master Card, VISA, or bank cards) at the bookstore. Costs vary by courses/programs. Please bring your printout with your booklist or order online before coming and your books will be ready for pick-up. You will have an opportunity to talk with students, teachers and staff members about what you are looking forward to or what you are concerned about as you start CEGEP. Refreshments will be served.

    For the convenience of students living outside the Greater Montreal area, there is a special session Friday morning at 9:30 if you prefer.

    All Business Administration, Computer Science, EngineeringPhotonics, Information & Library Technology, Liberal Arts, Nursing, Publication Design & Hypermedia and students in any program who live outside the Greater Monreal area

    Welcome to John Abbott College Handicapped Parking Orientation Sessions are planned for Roads Paths Bus Stop all new students in August in the Agora. Heres your chance to learn what you need to know before classes begin.

    You are scheduled to attend a session according to your program and family name.

    9:30 A.M. 1:00 P.M.

    Science (Family Name S-Z) and all Commerce, Double DEC (Science & Social Science) and Youth & Correctional Intervention

    All Arts & Science DEC, CALL, Honours Programs and Professional Theatre

    Social Science (Family Name A-L)

    Science (Family Name A-R)

    Social Science (Family Name M-Z) and all Social Science with Math

    All Bio-Pharmaceutical, Dental Hygiene, Fine Arts, Pathways programs, and Pre-Hospital Emergency Care

    No Sessions

    Allow enough time to reach the campus. All students must meet in the Agora, Casgrain Centre.
    You are advised to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the start of your session. Sessions will begin on time. If you need more information about Orientation, please call 514 457-6610, local 5290. The College is closed on Friday afternoons during the summer. As space is limited only students who have been invited will be able to participate in the Orientation Sessions
