Oct 21st: Registration Deadline 6 Out of 7 teams have paid. Please fill out all paperwork needed and turn it in to Josh Lademora by the end of 10/22/2010 2. Oct 29: Event Date - Volunteers are needed as safety officers, if you or anyone you know are interested, please contact Josh Lademora. 2. Engineering San Antonio 2011 Javier Cantu 1. ESA Co-Chair (Nikil Rayani) 2. Volunteers 3. ESA 2011 4. Proposal Review 5. New Ideas 1. Friday Science Extravaganza with MAES should be incorporated with ESA and the Banquet day. 2. JETS (See Action Items for details) 3. Engineering Survivor - On wednesday or thursday, an event could be held, where multiple teams compete in a series of obstacles where one has to engineer a path to get from path A to B. For example, a team would have to get a team 10 people from one bucket to another only using 5 planks, with out touching the ground.

Problem solving competitions - Large Chess, hand puzzle races (rubix, horseshoe chain, etc.), 5. Scavenger hunt - Students compete to reach a final destination by solving math/engineering problems that will lead to new location until they reach a final challange. Could go hand in hand with engineering survivor, but with simpler tasks Organization Business 1. Intel LANfest Update - Waiting to here from the deans office. Future Business 1. Nov 19 - IEEE Fall Fragathon 2. Oct. 30 (date change) - Saturday - Paintballing with IEEE, possibly other orgs New Business Action Items : Topics Discussed 1. Cesar on behalf of NSBE suggests a social day in the spring for all ENG orgs, basically an event where new member from individual organization can meet other people, network, and essentially become friends withe other types of engineers. 2. Email officers over paintball, the date change, and that each organization should pitch in 60$ for extra paintballs. 3. Olivia on behalf of MAES suggests an etiquette dinner. She would like to get at least 50 interested people so that if a sponsor is available, they can fill up the tables. If no sponsor is available she would like the costs to be covered per individual attendee. 4. Olivia on behalf of MAES is in contact with a CPS Representative to have a talk at the school about opportunities at CPS for all sorts of engineers. 5. Cesar on behalf of NSBE went to the chamber of commerce, if you would like to have an idea of the topics being discussed by local business, talk to him. 6. Cesar on behalf of NSBE; NSBE has, and will be hosting JETS, it is a competition for HS students where they put them through a series of tests/ experiments related to engineering. They will like to make this a college wide event in the spring, and include all organizations, and possibly even incorporated into ESA. 7. Chris Weldon on behalf of IEEE mentioned SPAC: Student Professional Awareness Conference, that will be hosted here, they would like the college to be more involved with this event also in the spring

Order of the Engineer Ceremony; Start establishing connections so that the COESC may play a role in the ceremony - Peter to look over it. 9. Cesar and Chris tabling for SGA next week; they will be looking to receive concerns about the school and the college, so that they may present them in their General Assembly, which is held every Thursday at 5:30 pm in the UCIII Adjournment
