Dear Students:

During the next five days we will be celebrating Readers’ Week. A number of activities have been planned and we encourage
all of you to get involved. Each day you will be given some time to read quietly in class so make sure you have a book on
hand. If you don’t have a book on hand or are looking for something new to read, visit the MSMC to get some ideas. Reading
opens up doors and is a fantastic way to learn about people, relationships and the world.

On Saturday is Family Fun Day. Make sure to buy your tickets!

Looking ahead...On February 3rd there is going to be a CWW Information Session from 5:00—6:30 P.M. in the FAT. Please
invite your parents to attend.

Have a super week!

Ms. Fredericks and Ms. Sayson

• The MSMC Bearcat Award Shortlist for 2008-09 will also be released on January 26. Fifteen of the most
frequently borrowed books are listed and promoted through displays and brochures in the Middle School

they think is the best. Last year, Twilight by Stephenie Meyer won the Bearcat Award, but all books from
previous years have become popular choices for borrowing.
