Football Staff Policies

1. Loyalty is a two-way street. I as head coach demand it. You as an assistant deserve it. 2. Coaches are expected to be dressed in the locker room one-half hour before the players report to the field: and 10 minutes before meetings. 3. 4. 5. Do not gab on the field - get your drills ready - dummies, cones, etc. Work with every young man that comes on the field. Do not allow them to go unnoticed. Be properly dressed. Look like a football coach.

6. Do not curse at players. In certain situations , we will get upset at the situation. Try to exercise self control -- please - please help me with this one. 7. If you have jumped on a young man pretty good, be sure to talk with him after practice. 8. After practice, briefly roam around the locker room talking and joking with players. Let the players respect you. 9. Do not allow things to lay around in our dressing room. Players must be responsible for the locker room. We must make sure that it happens. 10. There will be a coaches meeting immediately following each practice. The meetings will last until they are over. At times I will be 30 mins. late due to penalty box. 11. 12. 13. Do not accept anything less than perfection. Do not overlook a thing!

Know where you belong. Be waiting for the players.

14. You cant fire-up the players if you are not fired up yourself. Enthusiasm breeds enthusiasm. 15. 16. Never send a player off the field without Coach Logans permission. If it is extremely hot, make sure players know they can get water when needed.

17. Try to improve your coaching ability constantly. We should attend all coaching clinics that we can. 18. 19. 20. 21. 22. Strive to make your group the best on the field. Dont argue or discuss problems on the field with other coaches! Dont lose your poise or confidence out on the field or any other place! Do not compare our staff with any other staff! Expect to be corrected by the head coach if something has gone wrong.

25. Our practices must be tough mentally and physical. Perhaps you will disagree with some practices, but we must all conform. 26. 27. 28. Everything on the practice field must be done by the players with exceptional quickness. We are looking for real hitters. Pay strict attention to the schedule. Do not abuse the time allotted for each segment.

29. Dont relax during the kicking game, team periods, cals, etc. It is all important or else we would not be doing it. Do not play catch during these periods! 30. 31. 32. BREED CONFIDENCE INTO OUR SQUAD. Player must respect you. This can only be done if they have a feeling for you. If your tired, pray for strength.

33. Be very careful of our conversation with the community. Our family business is just that FAMILY. 34. Do not get yourself involved with high school FEMALE students. Your personal life is your own dont involve it with your professional duties. 35. Each coach will carry a coaching notebook with pen therefore to make notes in practice as things happen. 36. Jealousy destroys unity.
