Nowadays, the 10th house represents the mother, but in ancient times it represented the father. Its natural ruler is Saturn, a planetary indicator of the father. We come not just to do our individual egoistic thing, we also come to finish the business of our ancestors, our fathers. But God is the ultimate father, and it is His business we are put on earth to do. Lets use the chart of President Richard Nixon to see how the 10th house works.

Jesus statement that he had to be about his fathers business tells us that every spiritual aspirant has to do what the 10th house indicates is his or her purpose. Otherwise, were not doing Gods thing, were doing our own silly thing.
