It gives me immense pleasure in writing this experience letter for Dr Rohit Toteja. He completed his BDS from Bharti Vidyapeeth Dental College, Navi Mumbai in July 2011 and has been employed at Dental clinic at Shri Shiv Shakti Sanatan Dharam Mandir Sabha (REGD.) from 1st August 2011 till 31st January 2013 as a fulltime Dentist. Dr. Rohit Toteja under my guidance brings with him one and a half years of clinical experience in the field of General Dentistry. During this time, I have found him to be extremely knowledgeable in the didactic aspect of General Dentistry. As a dentist his duties were 1. Examining patients and interpreting radiographs and diagnostic tests to determine the type and extent of dental diseases, disabilities or dysfunctions. 2. Restoring the form and function of carious, fractured or otherwise defective teeth 3. Extensive knowledge of medical tools and equipments used in dental treatments 4. Performing dental X-Rays and diagnosing oral problems 5. Educating patients on issues regarding preventive maintenance of the mouth, teeth and gums. This includes informing them of the proper way to brush teeth and use dental floss, as well as how dietary choices affect their dental health 5 Oral prophylaxis and cleaning procedures 6. Root canal procedures and post and core build ups 7. Tooth extraction - non-surgical extractions, surgical extractions, placing and removing sutures 8. Tooth preparation to receive crowns and bridges 9. Fabrication of complete dentures and removable partial dentures 10. Teeth whitening and repairing fractured or chipped teeth 11. Monitoring patient volume and maintaining patient records at the clinic I have found him too be extremely sincere, hardworking and dedicated to the field of Dentistry.
