Drew, Markus, and Keenan for SGA Executives Lets Build a Better Community

Club & Student Organization Assistance Understanding that many students find community through their involvement, we want to help clubs and student organizations have adequate resources to reach more students. Provide more funding for clubs and student organizations Create a physical and digital Centralized Calendar for all campus events Advocate for funding for Club Sports TriHealth Medical Staff Simplify the Alcohol and Other Drugs Policy for clubs Connect the Banner ID system with OrgSync so clubs can check their account balance Promote the Missed Class Policy with the Faculty Committee Support the further development of Club Council Work to find more available space for student-organized events and meetings Outreach to our Fellow Students Realizing that students will have new concerns if we are elected, we want to continue to outreach to our fellow students during our entire term. Implement a biweekly email update about SGA and campus news Hold at least one open office hour per week outside of Gallagher Student Center Design a program called Finding the Answer, where SGA can help students navigate the administration Attend and meet with a student organization every other week Hold two Coffee with Executives sessions per semester in the Conaton Learning Commons Revamp the Xavier App to allow better communication between students and SGA Municipal Outreach Because Xavier is such a large part of the wider community, we want to work with our neighbors to create a better city.

Modernize Study Abroad As study abroad is an irreplaceable experience for students and allows other cultures to be introduced into our community, we want to work to ensure every student who wants to study abroad has the opportunity and is not prevented by institutional challenges. Develop a Study Abroad Advising system that truly helps students throughout the entire process Promote Exchange Programs to make studying abroad more financial viable Centralize the entire Study Abroad process within the Center for International Education Advocate for partnerships with other Jesuit universities that have established programs Simplify the method to transfer classes from study abroad programs to Xavier Implement processes that empower students financially in regards to study abroad Collaborate with the Faculty Committee and the Provost to make the Academic Core more flexible University Life, Health, & Safety Realizing that a university must have basic essentials to build community, we want to work to make our campus a better, safer, and healthier community for students. Implement a Call-A-Ride program to promote safe transportation options Improve rates of on-campus laundry by creating a set fee per semester in the Room & Board costs for unlimited laundry swipes Change the Residence Life Appeals Process for room damages Review the Student Conduct Liaison position to ensure its greatest effectiveness Implement a service alternative for parking tickets Increase the number of baby changing stations in important restrooms around campus Collaborate with Xavier Dining to create prepared To-Go lunches in the Hoff Dining Commons Open a classroom building on campus late at night for studying Establish an active student presence in the mixed-used development DanaMont project Work to allow Resident Assistants room with a friend or another RA in Fenwick Place Improve commuter parking during basketball games Advocate for lower parking pass prices Re-implement the Meal X-Change program for on-campus dining options Implement a Secret Food Critic program to evaluate the eateries on campus Implement a training program to prevent campus violence, specifically sexual assault

Information Technology Improvements Understanding that students use technology on a daily basis, we want to improve Xaviers infrastructure to ensure a better experience for students. Acquire new check-out laptops for students in Gallagher Student Center and Conaton Learning Commons Update the Xavier app to include information about Dining options and student news Install new printers in more convenient places for students, such as residence halls Implement color printing in specific locations across campus Collaborate with the IT Department to ensure the wireless network functions better

Traditions As traditions bring the entire student body together and directly build community, we want to create new traditions and ensure current traditions are supported. Organize and ensure the continuation of Xavier traditions like Senior Week and Crosstown Campout Create a Week of Homecoming that includes a day of service, a dance, and a tailgating party Increase the numbers of near-campus vendors that accept X-Cash, specifically Dana Gardens and Stone Lanes Ensure new traditions like XavierFest have adequate funding and institutional support Inclusive and Diverse Community Because Xavier has pledged to be an inclusive and diverse community, we want to work to ensure all students feel welcomed and accepted on campus. Enhance Xaviers accessibility to ensure our campus is open to all students Institute an equality-driven campaign called OneXavier, which will include a week of celebration, a pledge of an inclusion, and diversity-related events throughout the year Create a Xavier University Bias Incident Response team Recognize Student Veterans growing presence and importance on campus Require student leaders such as Resident Assistants to go through Safe Zone LGTBQ-ally training Advocate for more inclusive dining options in the Hoff Dining Commons

Employment for Students Realizing that many students depend on extra incomes to attend Xavier, we want to create more student jobs on campus and improve professional development so that our community includes all students who want to be here regardless of finances. Create more student jobs on campus, specifically more non-Work Study jobs Implement an internship program in the Office of Physical Plant Design a website in collaboration with Career Services Center that lists all on-campus employment opportunities Increase the number of on-campus student research assistants Promote and assist in the development of student-run businesses DMK: Lets Build a Better Community

Sustainability As many students want to live on a sustainable campus, we want to continue making Xavier more environmentally friendly and a responsible member of the world community. Install more water bottles fillers around campus Install automatic light switches in rooms to turn off of lights in unused rooms Promote the NEXUS Garden, and encourage its expansion Find areas to reduce consumption, such as encouraging Subway to give out less sandwich bags
