During conferences, I will be giving a short presentation on how parents can incorporate Positive Behavior and Intervention Support (PBIS) in their home. If you are reading this newsletter on Friday, please join us this evening for our Family Fun Night and Silent Auction going on from 6:00-8:30 p.m. We hope to see you there! We are pleased to announce a new and easier way to schedule your students parent-teacher conferences. Look for letters being sent home in todays Friday folders with step-by-step instructions. I know I loved using this program to schedule by older daughters conferences at the High School. Im sure you will love it too. As always, if you have any questions or would like to discuss any concerns, please contact me.

BLOOD DRIVE: Beagle Blood Drive is scheduled for Monday 2/25/13 from 2:30 - 7:45 p.m. and is sponsored by Girl Scout Troup 294. To schedule an appointment, log onto redcrossblood.org and enter sponsor code Beagle, or call 517-449-7328. Appointments honored, but walk-in donors are also welcome. Beagle students who recruit a donor will receive a fun Red Cross thank you gift!!!!

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION FOR THE 2013-14 SCHOOL YEAR

Kindergarten registration for the 2013-14 school year will take place March 19, 21, 25 and 27. Your child must be five years old on or before December 1, 2013 to be eligible to enter kindergarten. Forms and information about required documents are available online under the Parent/Students Resource tab located on the district homepage (www.glcomets.net). Should you need to have documents mailed to you, please call the Neff Early Childhood and Kindergarten Center office at (517) 9255740, 8:30 a.m. 4:00 p.m. The registration process will consist of a 45-minute informational session to be held at the Neff Early Childhood and Kindergarten Center located at 950 Jenne Street, Grand Ledge. As space is limited for each session, you must call the Neff office (517) 925-5740 to schedule an appointment. We ask that parents bring all completed forms and other required documents to their scheduled session. Sessions will be held 9:00 a.m. 3:15 p.m. According to the following schedule: Tuesday, March 19

SPRING BOOK FAIR IS COMING!

Its time for the Spring Book Fair! Come enjoy the Book Fair during conferences. Book Fair Family Shopping hours will be: Wednesday, March 6th 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 7th 5:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, March 8th 8-12 p.m. This year we are also offering ONLINE BOOKFAIR shopping! Beginning February 27th, you can log in to: http://bookfairs.scholastic.com/homepage/beagleelem entaryschool to preview the Fair and shop online from the comfort of your own home! The last day to shop is March 19th. Pick up those last few items that were sold out at the Fair. Purchases will be shipped to the school for you to pick up. You may still register your child by dropping off the required forms at the Neff Office. To allow us to plan for your child we request you do so by March 27, 2013.
