Dear families, One week before half term please keep up all the hard work in keeping our attendance above 95%. Your children will tell you that the more they come to school, the more they will learn and the more choices they will have later on in life.

Thank yous and congratulations to. our Year 6 children who have worked incredibly hard this week in their national tests we are very proud of you. the Jimmy Mizen Foundation, Mrs Grace Idowu and St Johns Ambulance, who visited Year 5 and taught children the importance of choosing appropriate friends and making good choices. The children also had first aid training, including how to put someone in the recovery position. Ben Savage and the MAD BMX Stunt team who performed BMX stunts for the whole school. Jim Dalton (Dr Bike) for checking out our childrens bikes and making sure they are roadworthy. Please check our blogspot and the Ilford Recorder for photos and videos of these events.

Year 2 visited London Zoo recently. We received an e-mail from a commuter on the train which we would like to share with you I was travelling eastbound on the central line today and had the pleasure of meeting some of your Year 2 children. I understand they were travelling home after spending the day at London Zoo. The children were calm and respectful and their behaviour was excellent. They are a real credit to your school. The adults with them were also delightful to observe, the children obviously respected them. A big well done to the whole of Year 2! End of Year Assessment Y2

(Monday 20th May 2013), it is very important that your child attends school each day. I am sure you will join me in wishing Ms Cook every best wish for the future. Ms Cook will be leaving us to take up a new role in publishing she sadly leaves on 7th June 2013. Spanish Club will temporarily cease until September.

Coffee Morning
Come to our coffee morning every Thursday between 09.05 to 10.15am. Its a good opportunity for a coffee and a chat. This weeks coffee morning also includes messy play. Come and join us.

Absence from School Please remember to inform us if your child is unwell and unable to attend school. If your child is unwell you may be asked to provide medical evidence as the Education Welfare Office makes regular attendance checks and may want to see proof of illness.

School Uniform
We have noticed lately that hoodies are being worn to school. As per our Uniform Policy, parents are reminded that hoodies are not allowed in school or in the playground. Children will be asked to remove them if they are worn. Please remember that uniform order forms can be obtained from the school office. Uniform orders for the Autumn Term need to be received in school by Friday 28th June 2013.

Respect for our Neighbours

Please can we be respectful to our neightbours and refrain from sitting on their front walls or parking over their driveways.
