June 14th Assembly 3pm MCD 17th Student Led Conferences Week 21st Assembly 3pm MCL

Hi Everyone,
Thank you to everyone who helped make our athletics day last Friday a success. Despite the weather there was plenty of enthusiasm, sportsmanship and personal bests on the day. If you get a chance to visit Melaleuca Unit and stand outside MJF you will be able to hear recordings of our students retelling an ancient story. Technology is a wonderful thing. Speaking of technology, I have received information from a couple of separate companies who develop iphone and android apps for schools. Would this be useful? Is it something our Communications Team should consider? Let me know. Student Led Conferences will be held next week. This is an opportunity for your child to showcase their learning from the first semester and set some goals for the second semester. If you have missed out on booking online, please call the office to arrange a time. Please note that these are not interviews, so if you wish to discuss your childs social, emotional, academic or health needs with their teacher, you will have to make a separate interview, day and time. Conferences for students will run for 15 minutes each. I have attached a separate information sheet so that you can make the most of this time. We look forward to seeing you at this important event in your childs school year. Thank you to all the families who supported the Woolworths Earn and Learn program. A special thankyou to the Wadden family who collected 27 sheets! An awesome achievement.

Your mission, should you chose to accept it, is to come along to our next parent club meeting and say hello. We need the youthful enthusiasm of new parents to join our band of merry mums (and dads, grannies, aunties and uncles) in the quest to support our children, raise money and definitely have fun at the same time. Our next meeting is at 2pm in the art room on Friday June 21st.. come see what all the talk is about.
