Please support us by completing a Spar loyalty card form and making use of this outstanding shop. The forms are available at Olivedale Spar or it could be submitted electronically. Please find these forms on the School Communicator. We can only benefit from this partnership if you as parents support us. Who & What would benefit from the Loyalty Program: School Projects Community Project School Excursions. Bursaries Sports Team Uniform or Sports Days Repairs and Maintenance to the School premises The Loyalty Card holder will also then automatically benefit from the Specials and Academics
Please make time to check your childs homework book. We are very concerned about the number of learners who are not completing their homework and their class tasks. Educators might send notes home in the homework book to keep you informed.

Take note that CAPS Pass requirements are as follow:

English 50% , Afrikaans - 40% Maths - 40% . Many learners are not achieving 50% for English it is a huge concern as this could possibly result in retention at the end of the year. The new Government Policy states that if learners do not achieve 50% for English and 40% for Afrikaans, they will fail. We are appealing to you as parents to assist and work with the teachers to improve these results.

STAFF Happy Birthday to Mrs A Naidoo who is celebrating her birthday on the 17th of August! LATE COMING Learners arriving late in the morning will be kept in the Waiting Area until the end of the first lesson.

Extra lessons for English, Afrikaans and Maths are available in each Grade. Learners who have not met last terms requirements in these subjects, must attend the extra lessons. CARING DAY Please support our outreach initiative, caring day. Every Wednesday, learners are asked to bring small change to school. Once or twice a term we donate ALL the money to charity.
