From the Japanese words, baku meaning to explode, and gan meaning sphere, Bakugans are small spheres which, when activated, transform into battle machines on immense power. The small spheres are Bakugan monsters which have been waging war in an alternate universe called Vestroia. When the war rages out of control, the Bakugans are sent to Earth trapped inside gate cards. Now it is up to Dan and his fellow Battle Brawlers to unleash the Bakugans power and save Vestroia and Earth from destruction! The Bakugan brand experience extends well beyond the animated TV series. At the core of the property is a competitive card game which mirrors the battles from the TV show. Kids can cheer on their favorite characters and learn battle strategies to apply to the card game at home.
