Hello Everyone! Just a few things that parents should be aware of: PTO meetings are planned for 9/11/13, 10/16/13, 11/13/13, 12/9/13, 1/13/14, 2/24/14, 3/19/14, 4/16/14, and 5/19/14 in the MHS Library at 7 PM. 1. Log on to the PTO Webpage to stay updated on events. Visit www.medford.k12.ma.us, go to individual school (either high school will work), click on Parent Involvement, then MHS PTO. 2. Join our email list at http://www.groups.yahoo.com/group/medfordhighpto/. This is a great site for parents to ask questions or talk about school issues. You can also join our facebook group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/mhsmvthspto/ by clicking Join Group in upper right hand corner. Cash prizes are awarded to the Top 3. Meadow Glen Mall runs a School Bucks program. Five Schools. Bring your receipts to the Customer Service Desk and designate one of the High Schools to earn the points. This can be done monthly, between August 1 and March 31. 4. Targets Take Charge of Education: Donations total 1% of your purchases at Target and Target.com and 1/2% of purchases made elsewhere with your Target Visa. THANKS to all who participated. $475 was received in cash back rewards last year. Go to the community page at www.Target.com to designate your school of choice. 5. Stop & Shop A+ School Rewards Program: Every purchase you make the PTO receives awards, which can add up to big $$$$. Visit www.stopandshop.com, click on Our Stores, register your card, enter school code 10485 to designate MHS. 6. 7. Class of 2015 (Jr.) Parents: there will be a discussion on the UP ALL NIGHT Party that follows the Jr. Prom in May 2014. All Jr. Parents should plan on attending the PTO meeting on 2/24/14 at 7 PM in the MHS Library to discuss the details of this event. All money raised helps bring Enrichment programs to the High Schools, such as The Yellow Dress, The Improbable Players, Senior Scholarships, as well as the Teacher/Staff Appreciation Breakfast, Jr. Post Prom Party, Slush Day, and much more. We welcome everyones ideas for enrichment and let us know if you would like to help with any of our events.
