Acrylic Auxiliaries
Properties:
High transparency of the mediums, gels and varnishes. Non-yellowing. Can be mix with all extra fine and fine colours or with acrylic inks. Very good suppleness and flexibility of the film. Waterproof after drying.

Product usage:
GELS Gloss gel: Has the identical consistency as the Pbo Acrylic Extra Fine, may be mixed with the colour to improve depth and transparency. Ideal for collages and inlays. The gloss finish is very transparent once dry. Can be diluted with water or fluidize with medium. Matt gel: Identical characteristics to Gloss Gel with a transparent matt finish after drying. Heavy gel: Dense gel, it allows for work in thick layers, when added to the colours. Opalescent and non-yellowing, it can be added to the colour in a mix of up to 50%, for economy. It extends the drying time. Interference gel: Can be used pure or mixed with colours, to obtain iridescent reflexions. Dilute with water or fluidize with a medium. MEDIUMS The acrylic mediums are used in combination with acrylic paints in all proportions and at all stages of work. They liquefy the colour, and increase its transparency. Gloss medium: Non-yellowing and transparent when dry, it increases the intensity of the colours shininess. Gloss finish. Particularly recommended for glazes. Matt medium: Adds a degree of matt which increases the density of the colour. May be mixed with gloss medium for a satin finish. Non-yellowing and translucent. VARNISHES The varnishes can improve the resistance to ageing of the acrylic colours, unify the contrasts in the brightness of the work, and increase the depth of the colour. When the colour is applied thickly, wait 1-2 weeks before varnishing the work. Viscosity is liquid. Drying: Quickly, in a few minutes to several hours depending on the thickness of application. Gloss Varnish Non-yellowing and particularly transparent. It offers a perfectly tight, flexible and indelible film , with a very bright finish. May be diluted with water. Matt Varnish Non-yellowing and opalescent varnish, which gives a perfectly tight, flexible and indelible film, with a matt finish. May be diluted with water. Solvent based UV Varnish

Especially recommended, to protect work, which is exposed to the outdoors. Waterproof, non-yellowing, it filters out ultraviolet rays. Satin finish. Once dry, the UV solvent varnish may be removed with petroleum or mineral spirits without altering the acrylic colour. Shake before use. MORTARS Used alone, or mixed with acrylic colours, to tint the mortar. May be used to create effects of materials, reliefs and impasto. They are best applied with a painting knife. Modeling paste: Opaque paste with a heavy texture for relief works and impasto. It is applied with a painting knife and is mixed with the colour when moist. It retains the imprint of the tool and can be sculpted and painted when dry. It perfectly retains its volume and does not crack. Matt finish. Can be diluted with water, or thinned with mediums. Sand mortar: Made from acrylic polymer and silica, it gives a thick and granular consistency. Preferably used with a knife. Use as is, or mixed with colour. It gives grainy effects. Dilute with water and bindex.
