DESCRIPTION Job purpose We are currently recruiting for Multi-Skilled Technicians to work for Interserve. The Multi-skilled technician will be responsible for maintaining operations across a high-profile Private Finance Initiative ("PFI") complex of three sites in the Leeds/Wakefield area, which include several specialist facilities. The postholder will take responsibility for providing comprehensive maintenance to the estate, meeting both the contractual KPIs and compliance guidelines. The postholder will undertake planned and first line/second line reactive maintenance as well as liaising with subcontractors where required. There are a number of roles, which will be employed on a rostered basis, in order to provide a responsive 24/7 cover rather than reactive call-out. The successful candidates must live within a 50 mile radius of the Wakefield area.

Responsibilities To carry out both first and second line maintenance (including mechanical/electrical) duties to the facilities as required, including;

Carry out all duties with due regard for health and safety To undertake repairs and minor refurbishment of premises, fixtures and fittings as necessary and within the timescales given by the FM Helpdesk staff. Ensuring all work is recorded and reported back to include details of work carried out and materials used Liaising with sub-contractors/suppliers to ensure maintenance work is carried out Report any defects in building equipment and security systems observed in the course of duties and to liaise with the FM Helpdesk, approved contractors and management. Undertake the efficient monitoring of the heating systems, ensuring all systems are working. Record and monitor all utilities and report readings to the facilities assistant. Control and manage stores and materials for the FM team, including critical spares. Responsible for continuing self-development, undertaking training as appropriate. Be available out of normal work hours on an ad hoc basis to attend to defects of an urgent nature making the situation safe and reporting to the PFI FM Help Desk and Interserve management. Undertake any other duties as may be reasonably requested within the purview of the role.
