Karan Thapar, the well-known television journalist, has won the International Press Institute (IPI) India
Award for Excellence in Journalism.
First Mega Food Park in Uttar Pradesh to be established at Jagdishpur
Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Processing Dr. Mahant laid a foundation stone of the first
mega food park in Uttar Pradesh. The Minister expressed the hope that setting up of this modern food
processing facility will usher in a new era of food processing in the entire region. The Park, the Minister
informed, will have nearly 35 industrial units and will give direct and indirect employment to about
30,000 persons.
