On August 10, 2013, we said I do!

We are so grateful to God that he has allowed us to be married and serve alongside each other in ministry. He is so good! We feel so blessed that the Lord has allowed us to be married to each other. *Garrett Ledesma, who was one of our groomsmen and works for YMI, took this photo on our wedding day!*

Burres Update
Youth Missions International [November 2013]

How does YMI use volunteers?

Cooks. Team Leaders. Coaches. Drivers. Host Homes. Trainers. VOLUNTEERS.
As many of you know, Morgann is the Director of Volunteer Operations. This means that she manages the volunteer database coast to coast. If there is a need for a person anywhere in the US, Morgann is responsible for finding and training that person. Here are some of the main ways that people volunteer with YMI. Cooks These people cook at training camps all across the nation. Team Leaders These people shepherd our teams of young people both domestically and internationally. Coaches These people work with BASE Sports Ministry and travel all over the U.S. to use sports to share the Gospel. Drivers & Host Homes These people are essential in launching and debriefing our teams by allowing teams in their homes and getting them to and from the airport. Trainers These people volunteer to help train our young people at YMI Team Training Camps all over the nation. We LOVE our volunteers. We truly would not be able to do what we do without the Lord providing people like YOU to help! THANK YOU!!

Support
We are officially 90% of the way supported!! We would love it if you would help us raise the last 10%. For more information about how to support us monthly, please email Morgann at morgann@ymimissions.org

Nathans Update
Right now I am working on recruiting churches to run sports camps this summer. There are two officially signed up and the goal is to have twenty so there is a lot of work to do. I am also starting to recruit coaches for the summer. I need 8-10 interns in order to be fully staffed and there is already one girl signed up so I am praising God for that! These past couple weeks of school have been especially busy and the workload is not going to lighten up until Christmas break as I get close to finals. But Morgann has helped me stay organized and get things done in a timely manner so Im never too stressed about any assignments.

Whats next?

Morganns Update
Right now, I am doing a lot of planning for my job. At this moment, there are not a ton of things going on because we are headed into the holiday season and planning ministry during the holidays isnt the wisest because the availability of volunteers/students is less. That said, I just came off of a very busy season of travelling (6 weekends in a row!!). YMI speaks at many fall conferences all over the nation and that travel is split between all staff members and I was no exception! Right now, Nathan and I are enjoying being home and getting our weekends back. I am planning a TON for early 2014. After the holidays are over, training camps pick right back up and we will hit the ground running. My job is to make sure that all the people/places/transportation are set for the beginning of the year. That takes lots of emails, phone calls, connections and a lot of waiting for people to get back to me!

How can YOU help?

Here are some immediate needs of YMI: - TEAM LEADERS for Ukraine, Ghana and Costa Rica Teams -STUDENTS to sign up for teams -Cooks for some of the training camps in early 2014 (WA & CA) For more info go to ymimissions.org!

Prayer Requests
Would you join us in prayer for the following things? 1. Pray for the Lord to provide us with the team leaders we need for the rest of the teams (Ukraine, Ghana, Costa Rica). 2. Pray that more students would sign up for teams for summer of 2014. 3. Pray for Nathan as he is talking with churches about sports ministry this summer. We are praying that the coaching staff would be ON THE GO this summer in order to serve and train as many local churches as possible to use sports to share the Gospel.
