Foreword:

Welcome to June 2013 !! May was a fabulous month spelling success all way around with our initiatives towards placement opportunities through Irize. With over 12 job drives conducted at 8 different locations, we saw a jump of 160% in walk-ins for the job drives. With systematic planning of the Job drives coupled with paper advertisements floating towards these drives, helped us in getting huge amount of Non-SMU students walk-in as well. What actually helped us in driving Non-SMU students for job drives in May and would continue to-do so in June, is the fact that Final year Graduation results were out at most of the Universities there-by students looking for Jobs were available. We also Gujarat & Rajasthan in a calendar month. Kudos to Employment enablement team & LCs for achieving this milestone!! What was more encouraging was that LCs too brought some good clients for job drives, which shows that if we work together we can create new bench-marks through Placement initiatives in time to come. June is expected to be another big month with fresh graduates and SMU pass out students looking for Jobs. We also expect to bring in 5 new clients to the kitty so that we can attract more students with various profiles. Looking forward to some excellent initiatives in June & welcoming your feedback further..! did 2 job drives in Rajasthan with some good results. Finally we as a Team crossed 100 offers for the 1st time in

'' Placement drive is a good initiative by University. This kind of placement activity will help us in generating positive word of mouth. We had also experienced that it had created confidence in existing students. This activity would probably help us in generating more referrals and fresh admissions. In this job drive we got 40 non SMU walk ins which helped us in building SMU branding in Kutch area and we are planning to have much greater response in our next job drive.

Placement Bulletin May 13 Whats More! Alumni Meet LC: 690, Kamania Computers, Rajkot
LC: 690 organized an alumni meet on 19th May (Sunday) at Aangan party plot Rajkot where they had invited all pass out student of SMU. The event started at 6 PM with some games to warm up followed by some motivational speech by Mr. Ajesh Kamania. All in all it was a very wonderful event and during the course of evening students recalled their golden days of studies at SMU. The strength of 70 students was itself speaking about the success of event. It was decided mutually to conduct such type of meets at least twice a year.
