1- Partnership Program (PP)
Partnership Program of CWS Cambodia has two sub-projects that currently operate in four different
provinces; KTP Partnership Project provides financial support and technical assistances to KORCD
and other Cambodian NGOs to implement Integrated Community Development (ICD) in Baray and
Santuk districts, and BTB/BTM Partnership Project provides financial support and technical
assistances to KCDA, ADOVIR, CFEDA, KNTO, DYBTB and DYMB in Samlout, Bavel and Sangke
districts of Battambang province, Ou Chrov, Malai and Mongkul Borei districts of Banteay Meanchey
province, and Banteay Ampil district of Oddar Meanchey province.

 Five local organizations (CFC, Waddhanak, CSCM,


CSF and CC) received a total of US$5,803.00 from
CWS Cambodia. CFC received USD800 for cross
visit of 9 foster mothers and 6 staff to learn handicraft
skills from Waddhanak Pheap, Silk Lab, Rachana and
RCC organizations in Siem Reap and another
USD800 to celebrate International Children’s Day on
June 1, 2008 with 900 participants (675 children).
CSCM received USD532 to celebrate International
Women’s Day with 124 participants (83 women) and
USD920 to celebrate International Children’s Day with
151 participants (136 children). CSF received
USD400 to celebrate International Children’s Day with
2130 participants (2080 children) and another
USD900 to organize a public campaign against
HIV/AIDS with 3000 participants. Waddhanak

received USD471 to celebrate International Women’s
Day with 259 participants (136 children) and CC
received USD980 to celebrate International Chidren’s
Day with 866 participants (831 children).

 Two quarterly meetings on capacity building and


programming for ICÃ with MCC, AFSC and ICA.

 Provided technical support and facilitation for three


workshops, one training and one meeting to three
NGOs (PPS, KCC and ICSO) on Strategic Planning,
Assembly, Institutional Management, Partnership
Reflection, and how to fill out information into CWS
Cambodia’s proposal format during reporting period
with 232 participants (43 women).
2-KTP Partnership Project
Project Location: Kampong Thom province
 Kompong Thom Partnership Project provided first
disbursement grant of US$8,060 to KORCD for
implementing the integrated community development
program for fiscal year 2009 which benefits
community people living in ten villages in Taing
Krasaing of Santunk and Barray districts.

 With support from Kompong Thom Partnership


Project, three Elder Associations with 520 members
(212 women) were formed by KORCD in three
different pagodas that covering two villages in Pnov
Tbong, two villages in Pnov Thom, and four villages in
Thnoat Chum.

 An open well was constructed by KORCD for people


in Kang Mean Cheung village by the end of April with
support from Kompong Thom Partnership Project. In
total, KORCD already provided four wells to four
villages.

 KORCD provided one buffalo for a SHG in Tuol Chan


villages in May 2008. To buy this buffalo KORCD
contributed 800,000 Riel and SHG members
contributed 590,000 Riel. In total, KORCD already
provided three buffaloes and one cow to four SHG
groups in 2008.

 Four Kroma weaving looms were provided to Adsu


Church which benefited 8 women members. A
member can earn 1500 Riel from selling one Kroma.

 The Partnership staff conducted a review of capacity


assessment for CIDC on 18 June. CIDC received
support grant for children who dropped out from
school in eight villages. As a result, 126 school
children (55 school-girls) returned to school with
school materials and 17 bicycles for 17 children
provided. In addition, CIDC also provided vegetable
seeds and training on compost making and EXM
fertilizer to their parents.

 Three trainings on CAT, Institutional Management,

and Community Development Concept conducted for
KORCD and CIDC with six KORCD staff (three
women) attended CAT training on 15-16 May, two
KORCD staff and a CIDC staff attended Institutional
Management training in Kompong Thom from 21-25
April conducted by the Partnership Program. Another
12 partner staff (six KORCD and five CIDC staff and
one volunteer of Partnership Kompong Thom)
attended a training on Community Development
Concepts from 21-22 June to increase the
understanding of the community development.

 Partnership KPT conducted a two-day reflection


workshop for KORCD staff with 85 VDCs and VCPM
(30 women) participants from 9 target villages. 4
CNGO staff (2 KORCD, 1 CIDC, 1 Adsu church) were
selected to attend the Partnership Reflection
Workshop in Sihanouk Ville from 11-13 June.

 The project organized a two-day exposure visit from


26-27 May for 35 people (30 weavers from Adsu
Church, three KORCD staff and two CWS staff) to
visit weaving activity in Baray District in the first day.
Ten weaving members visited Kroma and blankets
weaving activities and marketing management group
of Charity Foundation for Children in Kompong Cham
province. US$23,197.38 US$ 3,479.62
3-BTB/BTM Partnership Project
Project Location: Battambang, Banteay Meanchey, Oddar Meanchey

 BTB/BTM Partnership Project granted US$ 31, 479 to


CFEDA, KNTO, ADOVIR, KCDA and DYBTM to
implement Integrated Community Development
Program in 54 target villages in Banteay Meanchey,
Oddar Meanchey and Battambang provinces, and
peace focused activities through organizing a three-
day workshop on conflict resolution with participants
from 75 village leaders, commune councilors,
teachers, and other key villagers from three different
communes of Mongkol Borei district. Additionally,
DYBTM also uses Buddhist precepts and health
prevention messages to educate prisoners in the
province.

 Two community ponds (30M x 20M x 3M) were


financially supported and dug by CWS Partnership
Program for CFEDA in two villages: Banteay Mouy
and Ou Sampoar and another two community ponds
for ADOVIR in Beng Popoul and Kob villages. These
four community ponds benefited a total of 170 families
(794 people with 379 women)

 345 children under 5 years old and 116 women living


in Beng Snoul, Beng Arak and Kob villages received
vitamin A and anathematic prevention from ADOVIR
in cooperation with Health center staff and VHVs.
Additionally, some kitchen utensils such as cooking
pots, plates, soup bowls, spoons, kettles, water

buckets and water dragged carts were provided to
four funeral associations in Beng Snoul, Beng Popoul,
Koub and Sthapor Pir villages. With this distribution,
the villagers will use them when they have any
ceremonies or other events to celebrate in their
villages or homes.

CFEDA distributed 80 water filters and 50 mosquito


nets to 112 vulnerable families and supported 73
families in Sante Pheap, Banteay Mouy, Ou Ampil,
and Ou Sampoar Mouy villages of Malai districts to
prepare home garden through extension on home
gardening technique and distribution of seeds and
agriculture tools.

 Partnership program supported 8 staff (one woman)


from CFEDA, KNTO, ADOVIR and KCDA to attend a
two-day workshop on proposal orientation in Phnom
Penh. A five-day training on institutional management
was conducted for 8 staff (one woman) from CFEDA,
KNTO, ADOVIR and KCDA.

Moreover; three staff (one woman) from ADOVIR and


KCDA were provided with one-week internship with
KNTO to learn program activities from KNTO from 1-5
April 2008. One day exchange learning at CWS BTM
office on June 24, 2008 was conducted for 15 staff
participants (5 women) from CFEDA, KNTO, ADOVIR
and KCDA.

 A total of 3,600 kg of white rice, 270 bottles of soy


sauce, 180 packages of iodine salt, 45 bottles of
cooking oil, nine mats, 18 mosquito nets, 27 blankets,
18 cooking pots, 45 plates, 18 soup bowls, 108
spoons, nine scoops, nine kettles, and nine water
filters were distributed through ADOVIR to 45
vulnerable families (240 people, 122 women, and 102
children) who faced food shortage and house fire in
four villages (Sthapor Pi, Beng Popoul, Beng Snoul
and Kop) of Ampil Pram Daeum Commune.
