Chris brings with him a diverse and extensive labor and employment litigation
practice that includes defending employers of all sizes against claims of unlawful
discrimination, harassment and retaliation; alleged violations of wage and hour
laws; and wrongful discharge. He also represents employers and executives in trade
secret, non-competition and contract disputes. And he provides practical advice
and counsel to employers to help them to comply with the law; anticipate, evaluate
and minimize potential risks; and solve problems before they erupt into
litigation.
Chris has worked with clients in a broad variety of industries, including health
care, engineering, mining, pharmaceutical manufacturing, insurance, real estate,
construction, printing, banking, telecommunications, hospitality, staffing,
outdoor sports and recreation, the arts, education, and software.
After earning his law degree from New York University School of Law in 1989, he
served as a judicial clerk to the Hon. Alfred A. Arraj of the U.S.District Court
for the District of Colorado. He spent nearly two decades in private practice as
an employment litigator and counselor representing public, private and non-profit
clients of all sizes, most recently as a partner with the regional firm of Holland
& Hart LLP. Before returning to private practice with Littler's national
employment practice, he served as a prosecutor with the Boulder County District
Attorney's Office, where he assisted with investigations, presented live testimony
at numerous court hearings and tried dozens of cases to jury verdict.
Chris is a member of the American, Colorado, Denver, Boulder County, and 13th
Judicial District Bar Associations; and Faculty of Federal Advocates. He is
admitted to practice in Colorado, and before the U.S. District Court for the
District of Colorado, and U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Ninth and Tenth
Circuits.
